IRTBA will be a positive force for increasing diversity within the industry.

Strategies includes:

  • Developing relationships with schools to increase the amount of students entering the workforce
  • Diversifying the IRTBA membership
  • Increasing business opportunities for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises
    







2009 Diversity Accomplishments

Continued financial support of ACE Tech Charter High School
to encourage new and diverse workforce
• 37 percent minority workforce employed by membership
• Added 14 new DBE firms to membership
• Twenty percent of the membership are DBE certified
• Participated in and informed members of numerous IDOT DBE events and Career Fair
