Transportation in Lake County
Growth and development is occurring at a rapid rate in Lake County. As more people travel in Lake County, congestion has become a problem. Over the past decade, the miles of traffic-clogged two-lane county roads have increased by an astounding 284%. The Lake County Division of Transportation is using all of the available funding to maintain the existing highway system. The county has earmarked funds for a number of projects over the next few years. These projects will have a positive effect on the county as a whole.
