Executive Committee
The Executive Committee shall serve with full authority of the Board of Directors when time is of the essence. Further, the mission shall include oversight of parliamentary activities of the Internal, Industry, and Technical committees of the Association. The committee shall further ensure the development and implementation of the Association Strategic Plan.
Budget & Finance Committee
The Budget and Finance Committee shall serve to review the annual budget, ensure compliance with the reserve and investment policies, review the annual audit for presentation to the Board, and make recommendations to ensure a healthy financial condition of the Association.
Planning & Design Board of Directors
The Planning & Design Division of the IRTBA actively engages and supports all measures favorable to the development and maintenance of the professional standards of planning and design for all forms of transportation. The P&D Division is also committed to the effective utilization of private firms in the planning, design, and construction of all forms of transportation. The P&D Division also encourages the selection of individuals and firms based on professional qualifications, as opposed to price competition, and the determination of compensation for professional services by negotiations.
Past Chairs' Advisory Council
The Past Chairperson's Advisory Council is comprised of past IRTBA chairs for both the IRTBA Board of Directors and the Planning and Design Division Board of Directors. The Council is charged with providing guidance to the IRTBA staff and Board on programs related to the development of new leaders, the review of the association’s leadership succession plan and the other IRTBA policy initiatives as deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors.
Sustainability Council Board of Directors
The Sustainability Council's purpose is to design, build, and promote sustainable infrastructure in Illinois.
Road Builder Charities Board of Directors
Road Builder Charities was founded in July 2009 to support training and education for those pursuing transportation construction and engineering-related programs at Illinois institutions. These initiatives have included college scholarships for degree candidates pursuing engineering and construction project management, training for disadvantaged individuals entering the transportation construction trades, and educational and other support for the families of fallen construction workers.
