Road Builder Charities

Road Builder Charities

Road Builder Charities was founded in July 2009 to support training and education for those pursuing transportation construction and engineering-related programs at Illinois institutions.  These initiatives have included college scholarships for degree candidates pursuing engineering and construction project management, training for disadvantaged individuals entering the transportation construction trades, and educational and other support for the families of fallen construction workers.

Academic Scholarships

The Road Builders Charities Board of Directors is pleased to announce it has awarded 15 scholarships to support students pursuing careers connected to the transportation industry. Each scholarship recipient is currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, graduate program, or trade school, and is pursuing studies that can be applied within the transportation field. As part of the application process, students were required to submit an essay explaining why they deserve the scholarship, along with any supporting documents that strengthen their application. Those selected demonstrated academic achievement, leadership, community involvement, and perseverance - the RBC Board salutes these future industry leaders.
