John Healy has over 44 years of experience in the road-building industry.
Healy's family owned Arrow Road Construction from 1925 until 2023, when Builders Asphalt acquired the company. Before the acquisition, Healy was President of Arrow Road Construction from 1992 to 2023. He currently serves as the Chief Integration Officer for Builders Asphalt.
His involvement with IRTBA has been significant over the years: he has served on the IRTBA Board of Directors for several terms, starting in 1991, and was elected Chair-Elect in 2025, with his term as Chair beginning in January 2026.
Other industry involvement includes Healy's two terms as President of the Illinois Asphalt Pavement Association (2000 and 2016), his role as Chief Negotiator for MARBA on behalf of the Teamsters and auto mechanics, and his role as a craft committee member for the Operating Engineers.
Healy graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Business Administration and earned a Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law.
