This presentation will provide background and history behind the need for a CDOT Specification Library, details on how the library was created, and the advantages of having the library for designers, construction personnel, and contractors.  It will also cover new developments since the original release date in 2024 that are anticipated to further enhance accuracy, consistency, and quality for each project designed, constructed, and completed within the City of Chicago.  The concluding portion of the presentation will review important concepts and best practices for interacting with the library to get the most out of this tool and streamline the completion of a project Book 3.
