Sustainability Council Annual Meeting - April 2026

Join IRTBA's Sustainability Council at its 2026 Annual Meeting!

Mike Sturino, IRTBA President/CEO will start the meeting with the welcome address and introduction of the Master of Ceremony.

Beth Conley, Chair of the Sustainability Council Board of Directors will be the Master of Ceremony through the meeting.

Featured Speakers:

Nandita Gettu, Materials Research Engineer with S.T.A.T.E Testing will be presenting on how pavement engineers can reduce the carbon footprint of asphalt and concrete materials while maintaining the performance required for long-lasting transportation infrastructure. 

Sam Lebo, External Affairs Manager with American Conservation Coalition (ACC) will present on how ACC follows through on environmental policies using his background in energy technologies and environmental science.

Kelly Senger, Chief Chemist with Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will speak on the IDOT LCTM program.

Sean Guzik, Assistant Chief Engineer, Quality Assurance with Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) will speak on CDOT efforts

Prianka Sharma, Vice President & Counsel of Regulatory Affairs with ARTBA will be providing regulatory updates from wetlands to threatened species and the impacts on transportation. 

After presentations, there will be appetizers circulating, an open bar and networking opportunities available.
